The Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) meeting will discuss the revitalisation of HIV prevention in the SADC region. In the last year, SADC Ministers of Health developed and endorsed a Regional Strategy for HIV Prevention among Key Populations and developed concrete plans to meet HIV prevention targets at national and sub-national levels. This meeting will bring together National AIDS Council Directors, HIV programme heads and HIV prevention heads from member states; regional civil society organizations; UN staff and academics to take stock of progress made to date.
